Horseback riding guided tours of the most scenic parks and trails around Vancouver BC are now available in 1 hour, 2 hour, half day and full day wilderness excursions. Visit our Blog for updates on ride schedules and locations, specials and coupons.

The rainforest climate brings varying weather at all times of the year. Please come prepared with raincoat, gloves, hat, extra sweater.

We recommend long pants to prevent chaffing. All riders must wear appropriate footwear, preferably a boot with low heel. Absolutely no sandals allowed. If you have a cycling helmet please feel free to bring it with you. Other essentials could include bugspray, sun lotion and sun glasses depending on the season.

Your horse will be tacked up, so follow the simple advice above to have a memorable ride.

**** Children under 18 must wear a helmet - no helmet no riding no exceptions. Please bring a personal sport helmet (cycling helmets are suitable).


 

Buntzen Lake

Located near Port Moody - a 30-40 minute drive from Vancouver. Our most rugged wildnerness area with unexcelled views.


 

2 hour ride to Eagle Ridge Vista. Bring your cameras for this unexcelled view of Buntzen Lake and Burrard Inlet.

1/2 day challenge around Buntzen Lake includes a rest stop beside the lake and at the waterfalls lookout point.

Full day ride includes a dip in the lake with your horse weather permitting with lunch provided and a ride up to Eagle Ridge Vista for a breathtaking view of Bunzten Lake and Burrard Inlet.

Golden Ears Provincial Park

Situated near Maple Ridge in the North Fraser Valley, an easy 60-90 minute drive from Vancouver, this park is the Lower Mainland's finest wilderness area with excellent horseback riding trails.


 

1 hour tour through lower Golden Ears and parts of Maple Ridge. Minimum booking 4 persons.

2 hour tours - We alternate on these standard routes depending on conditions. 

Mike Lake tour, through the rainforest and a climb up a steep incline followed by a rest stop at a secluded mountain lake.

Lookout Point scenic tour that travels by one of Golden Ears lovely waterfalls with a rest stop at a beautiful vista overlooking Alouette Lake.

River Ride goes Lower Alouette trail and the river  towards Alco park where we have a short stop in the river for the horses to splash and play before returning.

1/2 day walk trot canter on Alouette mountain up to a bird's eye view of Alouette Lake.

Full day Alouette Lake and Gold Creek tours. Ride through the lush rainforest of Golden Ears. Visit the waterfalls and take a 20 minute hike to enjoy this beautiful waterfall and natural rock pools at Gold Creek OR visit Aloutte Lake and take a refreshing dip on the beach. Lunch provided on full day trips.

Advanced Riders Only - 2 hour and half day Walk, Trot, Canter Tours. Have some riding experience? Want to enjoy more than a casual walk? Our  Walk Trot Canter tours allow you to enjoy a little more speed along the lower trails before winding back down the mountain. MUST WEAR A HELMET.

Night Under the Stars

Feeling adventurous? Join us on one our rustic overnight packing trips to Gold Creek in Golden Ears park and enjoy a night sleeping under the stars. This 2 day trip takes you through the Golden Ears rainforest up to Gold Creek. You can play and swim with the horses in the swimming hole weather permitting. This is a rustic and minimalist trip. You will be required to pack your own sleeping gear and provisions just like when you go hiking. If you have never ridden before we highly recommend that you take the introductory lesson prior to the excursion date. You will need to demonstrate that you can handle and manage your own horse. Pitt Lake

Located in Pitt Meadows, a 40-50 minute drive from Vancouver.

Starting at Grants Narrows Park located on Pitt Lake, we walk, trot and canter this easy 1/2 day scenic ride. It offers the serenity of the wildlife reserve and the majesty of the coastal mountains along Pitt River. Enjoy seasonal bird life and occasional deer and bear sightings.

2 hour easy ride along Pitt River starting at Grants Narrows Park.

Dyke Rides

1 and 2 hour rides. Must have some riding experience.

Enjoy a serene ride along the banks of Fraser River  and local area dykes surrounded by vast cranberry and hay fields with majestic Mt Baker as a backdrop.

Pacific Spirit Park - Group Rides (weekdays only)

Located in beautiful Vancouver near UBC, this lovely ride starts and ends at Spanish Banks.


Custom 2 hour group rides through Vancouver's Pacific Spirit Park can be requested for small groups of 4-7 people. Due to the volume of cyclists and dog walkers on the weekends, this ride is only available during weekdays. Contact us by  phone for available dates and times. This tour makes a great afternoon office get away or adventure for your teams.
